South Windsor, CT, October 2017 – TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has joined with Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) for “Amplify,” an adventuresome new series profiling musicians at various locations throughout the state.
TELEFUNKEN’S Director of Operations Alan Venitosh is responsible for the location audio recording and post-production mixing. The entire series utilizes TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik microphones exclusively
“As a musician, I have always been a huge fan of Telefunken microphones,” says Heather Fay Dawson, Executive Producer. “When I was dreaming up the idea for the ‘Amplify’ series, I knew I wanted Telefunken involved in the live audio recording and engineering. The thing that makes this series different is that we take bands off the stage and put them in unusual, often challenging locations to play — yet we still want to capture the highest quality film and audio recording. From the get-go, I knew these shoots would require the right equipment, and people with stellar technical expertise and imagination. Having the team at Telefunken at the audio helm for this series is an absolute dream collaboration. No matter the location challenges we throw their way, Telefunken is always able to deliver killer recordings that exceed our expectations.”
