“Alan Friedman & Friends” DVD Release and Pizza Party
For those who missed last year’s live concert, Connecticut guitarist/songwriter (and CPA to many renowned musicians) Alan Friedman will be unveiling a concert DVD of last year’s “Alan Friedman & Friends” performance of original rock, funk, ballads & pop tunes from Alan’s five CDs released over the past 20 years. Alan’s records have been graced with local musician friends, as well as notable clients and friends like Steve Lukather, Bobby, Kimball, Bernard Purdie, Greg Phillinganes, Leland Sklar, Waddy Wachtel, Danny Kortchmar, Jonathan Mover, Doug Wimbish, Pat Thrall, Greg Koch and Bernard Fowler to name a few. A pizza dinner is included and all net proceeds will be donated to The Asperger/Autism Network (aane.org).

“Bernard Purdie with special guest, Rick Beato” Clinic and Concert
Join us to honor session musician and most recorded drummer in American music history, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, along with multi-instrumentalist, record producer, recording engineer and YouTube’s #1 preeminent music educator, Rick Beato, for an afternoon of music making history. Rick Beato, with over 3 million YouTube subscribers, will continue with Part 2 of his now legendary interview of Bernard Purdie. Bernard, best known to all as “The Hit-Maker” for his Purdie Shuffle drum groove, has graced the records of over 4,000 recordings, including many iconic songs by Aretha Franklin, Hall & Oates, James Brown, Jeff Beck, Cat Stevens, B.B. King, Joe Cocker, Todd Rundgren, Miles Davis, Al Green, Robert Palmer, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, Herbie Mann, King Curtis, Larry Coryell, Vulfpeck…and most notably, Steely Dan, to name just a few. The afternoon will comprise a special tribute movie, a new interview of Bernard by Rick, and a live concert of Bernard and his band playing those same infectious drum grooves on the most iconic tunes of his career. Snacks are included and all net proceeds will be donated to The Asperger/Autism Network (aane.org).

VIP tickets (which include admission to both Saturday & Sunday events, front-row seating, a Sunday after-show “Meet & Greet”, and some cool swag) are $150.
